The HVCA represents the interests of firms active in the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration (hvacr) systems. HVCA members are subject to regular, third-party inspection and assessment to ensure their technical and commercial competence. The REFCOM Register of Companies Competent to Handle Refrigerants was set up in 1994 in response to atmospheric damage caused by certain refrigerant gases. Since then the Register has evolved to cover fluorinated refrigerant gases which if released to atmosphere have a global warming potential significantly higher than CO2. Blakes has met the criteria required for membership and continue to ensure that our engineers and staff have regular ongoing training to meet the ever developing industry standards.
