HVCA — Heating Ventilating Contractors Association

The HVCA represents the interests of firms active in the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration (hvacr) systems.

HVCA members are subject to regular, third-party inspection and assessment to ensure their technical and commercial competence.

F-Gas certification — Refrigerant Handling

Blakes use only qualified personnel for installation, commissioning and servicing of Air Conditioning systems and equipment, under the F-Gas regulations certain systems must be installed and maintenaned as per the European regulation.

All of our engineers meet the minimum criteria required under the F-Gas regulations and we are committed to ongoing training , keeping Blakes up to date with any new regulations and legislation

REFCOM

The REFCOM Register of Companies Competent to Handle Refrigerants was set up in 1994 in response to atmospheric damage caused by certain refrigerant gases. Since then the Register has evolved to cover fluorinated refrigerant gases which if released to atmosphere have a global warming potential significantly higher than CO2.

Blakes has met the criteria required for membership and continue to ensure that our engineers and staff have regular ongoing training to meet the ever developing industry standards.

CHAS — The Contractors Health & Safety

CHAS is established as the market leader for health and safety pre-qualification in the UK.

It is a non-commercial scheme available to suppliers (those who provide goods and services) and to organisations (buyers) looking for suitably competent suppliers.

CHAS has assessed our:
• Health and safety policy statement;
• Organisation for health and safety;
• Specific health and safety arrangements to ensure that they are to a standard acceptable to CHAS buyers and to others.
